Outside Technician manages all on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks. They diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions. They are responsible for the service and customer support during field visits and dispatches.
Essential Functions
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment in the field or shop
- Perform clean-up, safety checks, inspections, and pre-delivery prep
- Complete service reports, work orders, and basic computer tasks
- Attend training and assist with complex or lengthy repairs
- Maintain tools per MSHA/OSHA standards; report unsafe equipment
- Provide on-site support, installations, testing, and troubleshooting
- Follow safety protocols, schedules, and company procedures
- Communicate with team and customers to ensure quality and satisfaction
- Share technical knowledge, support team efforts, and build strong customer relationships

Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines & construction equipment
- Skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and service
- Field service experience with own tools & flexible availability
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
Military service will be considered in lieu of education/certification experience as applicable.

- Environment is consistent with that of a construction environment and equipment yard with outdoor exposure to elements
