Job Description
JOB SUMMARY Responsible for managing, overseeing, and directing the activities of awarded projects with an emphasis on proactive coordination, timely delivery, and profitability. Manages and organizes all project documentation for use by other departments.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1. Reviews initial setup documents with Sales to clearly understand awarded scope of work.
2. Conducts secondary review of contracts to ensure accuracy with scope of work and project specific requirements.
3. Is responsible for understanding the construction schedule and manufacturer lead times to ensure scopes of work are sequenced and completed on time.
4. Prepares, submits, and tracks product submittals for client approval. Submittals should highlight any questions or clarifications for our scope and include lead times.
5. Actively collaborates with clients to discuss and resolve project issues.
6. Generates detailed and accurate proposals for contract changes.
7. Coordinates with Field Operations for field measurements to ensure accurate and on-time order of materials.
8. Releases orders for fabrication after confirming submittal is approved, field measurements are complete, and any accounting holds are cleared.
9. Persistently follows up on the submittal, change order, field measurement, material ordering/tracking, installation, and project closeout processes.
10. Provides detailed documentation, consistent organization, and proactive communication with vendors, clients, and GAP team members throughout life of projects.
11. Answers and returns calls, emails, and other correspondence in a timely manner.
12. Participates in weekly internal project meetings to discuss status and pulse of all active projects.
13. Proactively visits jobsites and attends onsite project meetings as required.
14. Works with Field Operations to quickly resolve issues in the field.
15. Collaborates with Field Operations and Accounting to proactively manage project budgets/profitability, change orders, and monthly progress billings.
16. Supports other departments: Sales, Field Operations, and Accounting when necessary.
17. Additional duties assigned as required to support overall company goals and objectives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
1. Construction Project Management: 3 years (commercial construction preferred)
2. Construction Plan and Specification Reading: 3 years
3. Knowledge of ADA and Building Code is a plus.
